Thorvaldson & Associates is a Sydney based quantum advisory firm with specialist expertise in cost for building and infrastructure projects. We draw on significant experience to assist with constructability and cost related impacts of design with consideration of site constraints. We can assist with development of options to manage changes which in turn can reduce costs.
Nick Thorvaldson is a qualified Quantity Surveyor and holds current full membership with:• The Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (accredited by The International Cost Engineering Council), • The Australian Institute of Building, and • The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.
Nick Thorvaldson is able to add value to your team. This value addition to your team is provided with an in depth understanding of the constructability and costing at one or all of the three stages of construction being: • New works• Works in progress• Defect rectification reworks. This value addition is delivered through the use of current quantity surveying software and techniques; with Nick Thorvaldson’s depth of understanding gained through 20 years technical experience in the industry and an additional 4 years as an Officer in The Australian Defence Force.
